Candle Care
Candles: For when you want to feel fancy but still want to wear pajamas
Ensure the Wick is Centered
Our candles use cotton paper wicks that may shift off-center in warm wax. After extinguishing the flame, gently reposition the wick towards the middle while the candle is still warm.
Trim the Wick
Once centered, trim the wick to ¼ inch using scissors or a wick trimmer before each lighting. This practice promotes an even burn and reduces soot buildup over time.
Remove Debris
Always clear away any wick trimmings, matches, or debris before lighting. Neglected debris can reignite and cause a flame that's too large, posing safety risks.
Light with Care
Adhering to these guidelines ensures a safe and pleasant experience when lighting your scented candles. Matched and Maed cannot be held liable for any damage caused to personal belongings during burning.
